Having done extensive radar/laser/jammers over the years before my last 3-4 cars (including my dds). Installation is about 1 minute to put the suction cups on the left front windshield just above the dashboard. Wireless passport escort 4 and Waze going on my iPhone, been pretty dependable and just takes a phone and $400 dollar wireless passport escort 3 or 4. I did a much simpler set up on my 720 an F12 (most current two cars). this is literally a 10 minute job!įor another point of view, which many will laugh or disagree with. Inside you will clearly see the white clip with the three wires (2 x yellow and 1 x brown).

(you will NOT need to remove the driver side rain sensor cover. you literally pull OUTWARDS (or think of it as sideways) towards the door Literally pull it off by following the window profile. as long as you pull in the right direction there is no fear of breaking anything. the whole thing is very well constructed. on the cover that you remove there are metal retainers clips. there are only TWO retainer clips holding it on (each side). ? having the guts to pull off the rain sensor cover. the brown on the white clip is definitely ground. so dont freak out thinking its a constant. there is a 3 minute delay once you turn car off. The outside yellow on the white clip (as described) is the switched power. they DO fit into the white clip that powers the mirror.

Please feel free to follow up with more questions, or give me a call to discuss! That is probably the worst top down sales pitch I could do but I always feel that giving my honest opinion is the way to go!
Of course the Extreme option is the best overall, but you would have to justify the almost double the cost to yourself much like I would. This option is fully integrated into the vehicle and will provide you with rock solid performance. Max360c with 3 head Fibre Sets: $6500 installedĪll 3 options put forward provide excellent coverage, but personally my choice would be to go with the “Plus” option. If it is to be installed in any sort of custom manner, additional labour charges would be required.Ī different option would be to go with a dash mount unit such as the Max360C and combine it with the Stinger standalone Laser Defence system. We will skip the “Core” option as it only has 1 fibre set.īoth options can support the “View” display. The pricing for the Stinger options are as follows. One thing to note is that the way your front plate is mounted could drastically affect the laser defence performance of the system. The person operating the laser gun will generally be firing at the front end of the vehicle. That being said, a car never travels sideways. It has 360 degree radar coverage, but the laser defence is only from the front or rear.
Alp net radar spectre Patch#
This option inclines 6 laser fiber sets (3 front and 3 rear) as well as 2 patch antennas for radar. The “360” option has coverage front and rear.

Stinger does offer a full coverage option, but to say it is 360 degree would be a bit misleading. The GPS antenna can get mounted in a variety of different locations We generally try to mount them as high as possible in the vehicle while still having a clear view to the sky. The strip display would likely mount nicely ahead of the parking break button, but that would be up for discussion. We can provide you with a “View” display and for adjusting the advanced settings but unless we can find a nice spot to mount the display/controller, we may be better off using the strip display/controller for regular use. To answer some of your inquiries from one of your previous emails, yes! it is GPS enabled, yes, it is stealth!, yes it warns you of redlight cameras, and yes there are advanced setting adjustments via the “View” Display, although that is quite a large display. The prices look a bit steep to me, they are in Canadian dollars:Īfter doing quite a bit more research, it is looking more and more as though Stinger will be the way to go. I thought it might be useful to post the email quote from my installer for the Stinger Laser/Radar countermeasures in my 12C.
